Lady Luck is a brand new female vocal trio that specializes in swing, jazz and cabaret-style standards. They are accompanied by a dynamic rhythm section of piano, bass and drums, performing at lounges, restaurants, inns and resorts, museums and select private and community functions throughout Connecticut and the surrounding region.

BETH - vocals

Beth Malvezzi Rosenblatt is the Director of Choral Music at Cheshire High School in Cheshire, CT where she directs six choral ensembles. She is also the cantorial soloist, accompanist, and choral director for Gishrei Shalom Jewish Congregation of Southington. Ms. Rosenblatt received a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Ithaca College and a Master of Science Degree in Music Education from Central Connecticut State University. Ms. Rosenblatt has served as Music Director for several adult choirs, children's choirs, and theater productions and she is active as a vocalist and pianist in many venues throughout Connecticut. Her choirs have received top ratings at music festivals including the Berklee High School Jazz Festival, the National Championship of High School a Cappella, and the International Championship of High School A Cappella. Both she and her choirs have performed in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall in New York City and worked with such recording artists as Five O'Clock Shadow and Grammy Award-winning New York Voices. She resides in Southington, CT with her husband, Ed, and their dog, Maestro.


ASHLEIGH - vocals

Ashleigh Holt is the choral director at North Haven High School in North Haven, CT. She graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Music Education in the winter of 2006. While attending CCSU, Ashleigh performed with the prestigious University Singers under the direction of Dr. Pamela Perry and traveled to France to tour. Ashleigh currently resides in Naugatuck, CT.

 









JANINE - vocals

Janine Falco has studied voice at both The Hartford Conservatory and The Hartt School. She was the lead female vocalist in a top 40 special occasion band for years, has sung with The Hartford Chorale and has also done much solo work at area churches. She has spent the last 11 years performing in various theaters across the state with leading roles in Into the Woods, Carousel, I Do, I Do and Children of Eden, to name a few. She has also been the musical director for local productions of Once On This Island, Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar. She has one daughter, Leanne, and lives in Southington, CT.

 







JANE - keyboards

Jane Russell Bate graduated from Smith College, studied arranging at the Eastman School of Music and holds graduate degrees from Central Connecticut State University. Music has been a lifelong passion, and its outlets have included teaching, performing, musical directing, accompanying, composing and arranging. Professional affiliations have included: Seven Angels Theater, Candlewood Playhouse, Thomaston Opera House, Curtin Players, Cheshire Community Theater, Southington Community Theater, Bristol Brass and Wind Ensemble, Plainville Wind Ensemble, Center Stage Jazz Band, Sellati Voice Studio, Connecticut Songwriters' Association and Cheshire Public Schools. Jane resides in Cheshire with her husband, John

 



ANDY - drums


 Andy Chatfield studied classical percussion at Syracuse University with Michael Bull, and jazz drumset with Larry Luttinger, Brian Kendrick and Jim Johns, while beginning a decade-long association with New York-based singer/songwriter, Johanna. Returning to Connecticut, he formed Stanley Maxwell, a quartet that blends visceral funk, jazz, and rock with tight arrangements and intricate group improvisation. ALEX - bass

 Alex Auger is currently a student at Western Connecticut State University where he is majoring in Instrumental Jazz Performance. He plans to seek certification as a music teacher after obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies. Alex began his musicianship on piano and trombone before falling comfortably into place as a bass player. Throughout his earlier education at Cheshire High School in Connecticut, he has had opportunities to perform with jazz greats such as John Fedchock, Greg Osby, Randy Brecker, Dick Oatts, as well as the New York Voices. Alex has also taken part in festivals involving Paquito D'Rivera, Roy Haynes and his Fountain of Youth Quartet, Terrel Stafford, Jimmy Green, Conrad Herwig and many more.
